Catharsis

From Catharsis by Sam Block

Ocean, swallow, drown me,
Fill my lungs with water;
Flower bloom and swell.

Sinking, reaching in vain,
Keep me, hold me in;
Hidden rose and willow.

The midsummer birds sing a song that weaves into me a sense of hope.
This hope entangles itself around my fingers and flows beside me.
The wind takes it, and with it me, and together we drift away, on a breeze, cool and warm, as gentle as the song they sang.

Sol fills the void I once harbored, and in a breath, it swells life into my lungs.
Flowers fill my soul and bloom, and now, forever, everything is perfect.
